Keno Tactics That Work

It will not ordinarily be thought of as the funnest game in the realm of gambling, but keno has massive amounts of keen followers. And it should! It’s a routinely thrilling lottery-esque game that’s uncomplicated to play, abundantly available in many different styles, and one that will return millions of dollars for gamblers who master its innumerable subtle intricacies. But let’s deal with the beginner’s rules here.

When defining keno to novices, some gaming experts compare it to the lottery. This is at least to a certain degree correct, in that both games are basically numerical. But to take that comparison too far might be to devalue the innumerable unique traits that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the ability to choose the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is furnished with an additional degree of personal responsibility by being able to pick as many (or as few) numbers as he or she wants. And it doesn’t take a genius to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your handpicked numbers with a good oldmarker like you used when you were in grade 3.

Once you have checked your numbers, carry your game card back to the girl at the keno stand. The clerk will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not drop this (potentially) expensive piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your pretty face and would like to help out, without a winning ticket with you, you will be given precisely $.00 for your time spent.

So, there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno slip. Let’s move on to something a little bit more advanced, shall we?

Once you’ve picked your numbers, settle into a comfy keno booth and see the action happen on the big keno monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are displayed for us. If you checked winners, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to dally, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You really want to get up to the keno booth to get your winnings, since a new round of keno will probably start within a few minutes.

Strategy number two: always make it back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you can’t trust yourself to make that 5 minute margin each time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty slips. When the maximum number of keno games (fitting the number of tickets) is completed, you can then get off your numb back side and go collect your winnings.

Another choice is known as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which normally lets you make number choices for thirty keno rounds or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to France and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to collect your winnings. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after you by it!

So now you know a few indispensable methods for winning keno. If you are a discerning player, they may appear to be very obvious. However, it will never hurt to study up on the basics, and if you are a beginner player, every little bit of advice will help make your keno gambling more exciting.
