Keno Strategies That Make Money
It will not usually be considered the sexiest game in the arena of gambling, but keno has tons of steadfast fans. As well it should! It’s a routinely exciting lotto-esque game that’s easy to master, readily available in a number of different styles, and one that might yield millions of dollars for gamblers who learn its numerous subtle rules. But let’s deal with the basics here.
When defining keno to beginners, some wagering pros compare it to bingo. This is at least in some measure apt, in that both games are essentially numerical. But to carry that comparison too far will be to think too little of the good many unique characteristics that make keno so entertaining. Unlike bingo, keno gamblers have the power to choose the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the user is accord an additional degree of personal responsibility by being able to determine as many (or as few) numbers as he desires. And it doesn’t take a keno superstar to come up with how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your selected numbers with a every day oldmarker like you used when you were in third grade.
Once you have checked your numbers, carry the card back to the girl at the keno stand. The person will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not lose this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers you and wants help out, without a winning ticket with you, you will get exactly $.00 for your time spent.
Now there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno ticket. Let’s move on to something a bit more advanced, yes?
Now that you’ve marked your numbers, get yourself into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action take place on the monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are shown for us. If you selected winners, mark your card aptly. Make sure not to take too much time, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You must get back to the keno stand to collect your winnings, and then a new round of keno will likely get going within a few minutes.
Strategy number 2: always go back to the keno stand on time!
Since you can’t trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from two to twenty cards. When the max number of games (the same as the number of tickets) is played, you should then get off your numb rump and go redeem your winnings.
Another alternative is recognized as a "stray and play" keno slip, which usually lets you make number choices for 30 rounds or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to worry about getting back in time to collect your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after it’s bought!
So now you know several indispensable methods for winning keno. If you are an experienced player, they may seem to be very obvious. Still, it won’t hurt to study up on the fundamentals, and if you are a new user, every bit of direction will help make your keno wagering more agreeable.
