Keno Tactics That Work

It will not usually be deemed the funnest game in the arena of gambling, but keno has tons of passionate players. As well it should! It’s a consistently exciting lottery-esque game that’s uncomplicated to play, readily available in lots of different styles, and one that may pay out mega-dollars for people who master its uncounted subtle rules. But let’s begin with the basic facts for now.

When explaining keno to newcomers, some wagering pros compare it to the lottery. This is at least partly apt, in that each game is generally numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far will be to undervalue the innumerable unique traits that make keno so interesting. Unlike bingo, keno users have the power to pick the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the player is given an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to pick as many (or as few) numbers as he or she desires. And it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your picked numbers with a good oldmarker like you had when you were in school.

Now that you have checked your numbers, carry your keno card back to the girl at the keno booth. The clerk will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Do not lose this (potentially) expensive piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your mug and wants help out, without a winning receipt on you, you will win exactly $.00 for your efforts.

And there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s advance to something a tiny bit more complicated, ok?

After you’ve marked your numbers, get into a comfy keno booth and watch the action unfold on the keno monitor. That is where the winning numbers are displayed for us. If you picked winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to dally, or sit there praising yourself for too great a length of time. You must get up to the keno booth to get your winnings, as a new drawing will almost certainly start up within five minutes.

Strategy number 2: always be sure to get back to the keno booth on time!

Assuming you can’t trust yourself to make that five-minute deadline each time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty slips. When the maximum number of keno games (matching the number of tickets) is played, you may then get off your lazy butt and go collect your winnings.

Yet an additional choice is referred to as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which generally lets you make number picks for thirty keno rounds or more. Heck, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to worry about getting back in time to get your numbers. Most "stray and play" slips are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

So now you have learned a couple needed techniques for winning keno. If you are a discerning keno player, they may seem to be very obvious. Still, it will not hurt to study up on the fundamentals, and if you are a novice keno player, every tiny bit of information will help make your keno experience more agreeable.
